Spring Detox: Water + Fiber

There are plenty of benefits to moderate intake of carbs, especially fiber and resistant starches. A higher intake of fiber is a great way to help unclog the liver which in turn helps to keep things moving in your colon. Increased fiber and maintaining proper hydration is surefire way to keep your body running smoothly.

Water

Here is the equation for how much water you should drink in a day. Most of us often confuse thirst for hunger. Before grabbing another snack, try drinking some water. The equation for how much water you should have in a day is simple. Take your weight and divide that number by 2. For example: half of 150lbs is 75 so you should have between 7 and 8 cups of water per day. To add flavor to your water you can always add lemon, ginger, or even brew some rooibos tea.
