I began my journey with acupuncture to help with my own health issues and was amazed at how powerful the treatments were. I felt supported, not just on the physical level, but emotionally as well. In the midst of a 14-year career in the corporate setting, I saw a need in the people around me who were also seeking answers and relief to their ailments and were not finding it with conventional medicine. Wanting to find fulfilling life’s work, I decided to attend acupuncture school so I could help others.

I studied acupuncture at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, the top acupuncture school in the nation. During my intern year, I did an externship at Legacy Pain Clinic, a hospital clinic in Portland where I worked with chronic pain patients. I also spent time working at a drug rehabilitation facility using auricular (ear) and scalp treatments to assist with the drug detox process. Upon earning a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree in August 2020, I moved across the country to beautiful North Carolina.

My educational background is in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), but I also utilize multiple acupuncture styles from Japanese and Korean lineages. I am currently studying Kiiko Matsumoto Style acupuncture and working toward certification. During an appointment, I use pulse and abdominal palpation to direct the course of the treatment. I have treated chronic long term pain, anxiety/depression, insomnia, reproductive health issues and histamine response in the body. I am passionate about providing a safe space where you feel listened to, and I feel happiest when I can provide relief and help to foster insights and aha moments.

I am a firm believer in lifestyle changes to support your acupuncture treatments, for example, changing what foods you consume, adding in appropriate movement, drinking more water and/or taking herbal remedies. Its truly an honor to walk with you on your health journey and I look forward to meeting you!
