
Roasted Sweet Potato and Beets
Here is a great side dish to have with a heavy meal as it will help your body digest and detox.
INGREDIENTS:
-4 medium beets
-2 medium sweet potatoes
-1 tablespoon Baharat spice*
-1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Barharat Spice:
-1tsp black pepper
-1tsp ground coriander
-1 tsp cinnamon
-½ tsp cloves
-½ tsp cumin
-1 tsp cardamom
-½ tsp nutmeg
-2 tsp turmeric root
*Baharat spice can be found pre-made online. We also have all the organic spices needed to make it here at the Acupuncture Healing Center if you would like to purchase it through us.
DIRECTIONS:
-Preheat oven to 400 degrees
-Peel the sweet potatoes and beets
-Chop sweet potatoes and beets into bite size pieces
-In a bowl toss sweet potato, beets, Baharat spices, and oil
-Once tossed, place on cookie sheet
-Bake for 20 minutes; after 20 minutes, carefully mix around
-Bake for another 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned
-Enjoy!
