James Ingle brings together a background in Western science with a deep interest in Chinese medicine, whole-person healing, and the connection between physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
James earned his B.S. in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he conducted biomedical research and contributed to peer-reviewed scientific publications. His interest in understanding health and healing from a broader perspective eventually led him to the West Coast, where he earned his Master of Science in Acupuncture from Bastyr University.
James has a particular interest in nervous system and emotional regulation, including the ways that prolonged stress and dysregulation can contribute to fatigue, pain, digestive symptoms, and a general sense of being disconnected or out of balance. He enjoys working with patients experiencing chronic stress and burnout, as well as those navigating chronic or complex health concerns.
His approach is grounded in traditional East Asian medicine while also informed by his background in Western science, awareness, and intuition. James believes that health can be understood through multiple complementary perspectives and that meaningful healing often involves looking beyond an isolated symptom to understand the patterns occurring throughout the whole person.
James also has a particular interest in spiritual wellness and enjoys working with patients who want to explore the relationship between their physical health, emotional well-being, and inner experience. His goal is to meet each patient where they are, whether they are seeking relief from physical symptoms, greater resilience to stress, or a deeper sense of balance and connection.

I am also trained and certified in:

Acutonics Sound Therapy
James has completed extensive coursework in Acutonics, a therapeutic approach using specially calibrated tuning forks and sound vibration. He incorporates this work for patients interested in exploring sound and vibration as part of their treatment.

Yi Ren Qigong
James has also studied Yi Ren Qigong, a system of energetic cultivation emphasizing awareness of the body’s internal energy and the relationship between physical, emotional, and energetic well-being. Principles from his Qigong training inform both his treatments and the simple practices he may share with patients for use outside the clinic.
